November 2010

Racheal, Natalie, Reese, Rylie & Ryan

Here I go again. Another month behind!!! We have been busy getting ready for Christmas. I also had a garage sale in there also. Racheal is still loving girl scouts! They have gotten to do a lot of fun things! Next month the cookies go on sale & I am the cookie mom. If you need girl scout cookies, be sure to let us know!

For Thanksgiving we went to Jonesboro to have lunch with Randall's family. We were missing a few people including our neice that is stationed in Baghdad. Racheal got to talk to her on the computer & was so excited. D-dad gave all the kids rides on the tractor. Then daddy got the small tractor out & hooked up the wagon to it & pulled the kids around. They loved it! After lunch the kids & I headed to Crockett. Randall had to leave the next day for Pampa so he could work on Saturday. It was a long trip by myself with the kids, but we made it! We had Thanksgiving again for supper. The next day we had Christmas. The kids got a lot of stuff & were so excited to open presents!! On Saturday we went to Palestine & saw Santa. The kids did so much better than I thought they would. The didn't sit in his lap, but they did talk to him. I had to sit on the step in front of him & hold the kids to get a pictures. Then we headed to ride Polar Express. It was a lot of fun! We sang, had hot chocolate, the kids got to dance & when we got to the north pole. Santa got on board & gave all the kids bells!

I got to go to our MOPS Christmas party this week. It was tons of fun & in a beautiful house! The kids love going. They call it school! That same day was also take your daddy to school day! Racheal was beyond excited to take her daddy to school! Randall is now working in Pampa which is 6 hours from home. Please pray that something comes open closer to home!!

Halloween 2010 & end of soccer

October 30th was a busy day for us. Racheal had her last soccer game that morning and then awards after lunch.  Kim, Jonathan & Kaleb came & watched. Kaleb is getting so big! The little kids loved playing with him!

After the awards we headed home for a little rest before the big night of trick or treating & fall festival at church! The all had a blast. This was the first year the little kids knew what was going on. After our first stop at the Easley's they kept saying more candy!  We made it around the square & then went to Grand-dad's. We had to empty their baskets because they were full. Then we headed to church for the fall festival. We had a wonderful turnout! The kids had fun and mommy & daddy were exhausted!!

Our 1st 5k!!!

Racheal and I were in our first 5k this past in OCtober. It was the Monster Mash 5k. We thought we were not going to get to do it because it rained all afternoon, but about 45 minutes before it started it quit raining and the sun came out. We walked & ran some. When we were almost back to the Jr High Racheal said "Mom we almost made it & we did fall over!" We were the last ones to finish and Racheal received a trophy for being the last person to cross the finish line. We finished in 48 minutes which I thought was really good. All our friends were cheering for Racheal as she crossed the finish line. One friend said she had her arms up in the air as she crossed the finish line. I was so proud of her. She gets extra points in the Miller Club in PE for doing it. We were both very sore, but glad we did it. She wants to do another one in the spring, but I told her we need to train for that one!

Sorry this is late & the pictures I have are on my cell phone & haven't had time to figure out how to get them on here!

October 2010

Well when I started this post I said we are almost a month behind & now I am a month behind! So much for being better about blogging! Seems like we have been so busy, there just hasn't been time. Racheal is still playing soccer. They have there last game on the 30th & then awards ceremony that afternoon. A few weeks ago Barb, Jana, Julie, Natalie, Meemaw & Kim all came to watch her play & they actually won their first game. They were so excited. They have improved so much since the beginning.

Rylie, Reese & Ryan watching sissy play soccer!

Hopefully someday we are wanting to turn the playroom into 2 bedrooms & a bath for the girls. Racheal is so excited about it. I have drawn up the plans & working on getting estimates. Now we just need the money. Anyway we have been going through toys & Racheal has gotten rid of a ton! So proud of her! We are going to have a garage sale the first Saturday in September

The week of homecoming, I got Racheal out of school early & we took all the kids to the pep rally. All the kids loved it, except Ryan! He was scared to death of the indian & had a death grip on me the entire time. Also that same weekend was the Pow-Wow in Comanche. Kim, Racheal & I rode a helicopter for the first time. Racheal & I weren't to thrilled about it not having doors!
Last week we took the kids to the nursery to get pumpkin pictures. Rylie managed to find a rotten pumpkin & stick his foot through the middle of it! Racheal picked out a pumpkin for us to carve.

This Saturday there is a 5k here in Comanche & Racheal begged me to walk with her. So being the good mommy that I am, I am doing it! She gets extra credit in PE for doing runs. Pray we both make it. We have never done anything like this before!

Racheal got her first report card from 1st grade 2 wks ago. It was all A's. They also had their fun fun at school & she got a participation ribbon. We also got school pictures this week. The turned out so good!! Last week she was having ear pain so I took her & got her ear flushed out. Randall checked it when we got home & she had an outer ear infection. On Sunday, she began complaining of really bad pain in that ear. Randall checked again & she had a hole in her ear drum. It is slowly getting better, but has been really painful for her.
I got a load of sand delivered to fill some holes that we have. The kids have had a blast playing in it, especially Rylie! Randall has been off this week & we have been busy getting lots of projects finished. His parents came & helped put baseboard down in the laundry room. They also helped us move out of the rented storage building. We finally have our piano back in the house. Thank goodness for piano dollies! Wish we had know they made such a thing the other 5 times we had to move that thing!

Lil Rascals!!!

Racheal in her new soccer uniform!

Racheal is loving soccer. They finally got their jerseys & had their first game getting to wear them last night. They tied 0-0! Both teams were so close many times. Racheal is getting better & did kick the ball several times during the game. She tends to be in the back & not do anything. Next game is next Tuesday at 6:30. Go Lil Rascals!
