One year ago at this morning at 3 am, I started leaking fluid & bleeding. I was scared to death. I was 29 weeks that day. I knew the babies were still so tiny & I didn't know what to do. We called Christy Meinecke & she came and stayed with Racheal. We headed to the ER in Stephenville. They said it was fluid from baby A which was Rylie (he was on the bottom). I was having contractions, but couldn't feel them. They gave me a steriod shot to help the babies lungs. He talked to my dr in Ft Worth. I was discharged from Stephenville & we headed to Harris in Ft Worth. Dr. Thigpen said as long as there was enough fluid around Rylie then they were staying put. I was started on IV antibiotics & was given a Toradol inj to stop the contractions. I was told the plan was to make it 3 more weeks, but we all know that didn't happen. The next morning on February 28th, I started bleeding more & they stopped letting me get up at all. Do you know how hard it is lift yourself up to get on a bedbad when you are 29 weeks pregnant with triplets?? Impossible!!!
Just wanted to remind everyone Saturday is the big day. Hope everyone can make it to the party! We will have finger foods & 3 cakes!!! Their baby dedication is also Sunday morning & we have a great video of the babies to show!
Also Rylie stood for about 10 seconds yesterday. I looked at him & screamed at Kim he was standing by one of their play tables & was holding a toy & not holding on to anything!
Ryan looking at himself in the dishwasher. He kept giving himself kisses. It was so cute! Racheal got a phone call from Ariel (Little Mermaid) on Valentine's Day! She was so excited. Rylie drinking from his sippy cup.
Racheal pushing Reese through the kitchen.
Reese, Rylie & Ryan in the walker.
Well I have been busy trying to get everything done for the big party! The babies are getting more mobile everyday! Rylie is now cruising the furniture trying to grab everything he can get his hands on. Reese & Ryan are both pulling up on their own now. Alco had their walkers on sale for 40% off so I got the babies one. Racheal took it to the kitchen & pushed the babies. Reese loved it. Guess she is going to be like her sister & like fast rides!
This was Rylie new trick yesterday! He is pulling up on everything now! Racheal opening her Valetine's present. She got a barbie book, barbie, candy & gum. She is getting a rose & balloon that will be delivered later today.
Reese, Rylie & Ryan with their 1st Valentine's presents!
All the kids with their Minnies & Minnies they got for Valetines.
Happy 1st Valentines Day Rylie, Reese & Ryan!!!! I still can't beleive in 2 weeks they will be one. Makes me think back to where I was a year ago. I was huge & miserable & either on the couch or the recliner. It took everything I had to get up & go to the bathroom or make it to the kitchen to get something to eat.
We had a good visit Friday with Aunt Barb, Jana & Natalie. The kids had a lot of fun playing. We also had a great date night Friday thanks to the MOPS committee. Thanks girls!!! We went out to eat & then went bowling. It was the first time I had ever bowled. It was a lot of fun. Now we have to take Racheal sometime. This weekend we worked on birthday stuff. We are having the babies dedication at church on March 1 & we are working on a video of pictures. It is going to be good. Also worked on the invitations today. I still can't believe my babies are about to be 1!!!!
The babies are doing great with breakfast. So far they have had oatmeal, pancakes & eggs. The only thing they haven't like was strawberries & cream oatmeal.
Yesterday we had a funeral to go to. Johnnie & Elvis were my parents first neighbors & Johnnie & my mom remained great friends talking on the phone everyday until mom got sick. Elvis passed away & we took all the kids to the funeral yesterday. Johnnie is blind, but I put all the kids in her lap & let her feel them. She was so excited. Then I found out my grandmother had a stroke & they don't expect her to make it much longer. Then last night being the klutz that I am, came out of our bathroom into our dark bedroom & ran into our bedroom door. My glasses happened to hit just right & I have a big gash above my eye. Randall used some glue for wounds to close it up. It is all swollen & bruised today & doesn't look very pretty!
The babies are doing great! Getting into everything!
The babies had their first real food for breakfast this morning. I have still been giving them a bottle in the morning & at bedtime. They have gotten to where they don't take their bottles very well any more. So I decided to try feeding them breakfast & then give them a small bottle. They had regular oatmeal this morning. The first bite they weren't too sure about, but after that they ate an entire bowl. I tried giving them a bottle afterwards, but they still didn't really take it. So tomorrow I will give them some formula in a sippy cup & see what happens.
Yesterday they were into everything! They were exploring & finding all kinds of wires that needed to be chewed on!
Well the triplets are quite busy! They are moving everywhere now. Rylie & Reese hav both mastered the step up into the kitchen. Rylie wants to stand up all day long. If you finds you sitting in the chair or floor, here he comes. He loves to stand up.
We had a very productive day Saturday! We finally got the garage cleaned up. Randall unpacked boxes from both moves 2 1/2 & 3 1/2 yrs ago! Now I am working on going through the storage building so we can have a garage sale! We have a ton of baby stuff we need to get rid of!!
Also wanted to say congrats to the Jones quints in Austin. Two of their girls had PDA's (like Reese did), but looks like they both closed up on their own.
